Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, our team will pick you up at the airport or bus station in this city, then we will take you to our facilities by land or river transportation.
WELCOME
Upon arrival at our facilities, our team of collaborators will welcome you with a delicious refreshment made with fruits of our region, then you will access the bungalow to leave your belongings and get ready for lunch.
WALK IN THE FOREST
In this walk we will learn a lot about the protection and conservation of the trees and all the vegetation of the Amazon rainforest, we will be able to see and learn about plants that were and are used today for healing wounds and some diseases that our ancestors used as medicine.
• We will demonstrate the extraction of the contents of the medicinal plants.
• We will also learn about spiritual trees.
NAVIGATING THE TAMBOPATA RIVER
In the afternoon we will go to board a rustic / handmade boat where we will navigate the Tambopata River.
•We will learn more about the life of the flora and fauna around the river.
• We will be able to see wildlife.
• Importance of river conservation.

VISIT TO NATIVE COMMUNITY
We will embark on a traditional boat, where we will sail until we reach the native community.
a) The community will welcome you with a cultural ritual led by the leader of the community.
b) You will participate in the body painting as this represents the cultural and experiential identification as a member of the community.
c) You will be able to appreciate and participate in the elaboration of handicrafts, which is one of their sources of income.
d) We will have a walk in their forest accompanied and protected by the indigenous people of the community, we will carry out their main activities throughout the day until sunset.
RETURN APPROX 17:00 TO TRONCO TAMBOPATA LODGE

SUNRISE (05:00 – 09:00)
We will visit the chestnut area of the Loero and Jorge Chavez community, one of the communities that are dedicated to the conservation and harvesting of this product.
We will see the process of harvesting this nut, as it is done by the farmers and community members of this area.
BREAKFAST
VOLUNTARY REFORESTATION
We will carry out a last activity which is the voluntary reforestation, as part of the conservation and contribution to this Amazon rainforest that is threatened by illegal logging, each participant can plant a specimen in our forest and take that pleasant memory and great satisfaction of having contributed to the biodiversity of this beautiful rainforest.
RETURN TO THE CITY AND END OF THE PROGRAM (12:00)
It’s time to pack up and sadly say goodbye to the biodiversity of Peru and then head to the city, where we will leave you at the airport or bus station.
IMPORTANT
We recommend bringing mosquito repellent, flashlight, binoculars, personal items, sun block, walking shoes, long shirts and pants.
